STAR Student: Josiah Henry
Josiah Henry is a 17-year-old senior at Bible Baptist Christian School in Hampton. His parents are Andy and Heather Henry. He has one sister and two brothers.
“From the time I was old enough to read, my parents instilled a desire for learning in me,” Henry said. “My teachers are, and were, all men and women who loved what they were doing. They were able to infuse this love within the students they taught. They didn’t only make it interesting, they made it understandable, and easily so.”
Shawntel Chisholm, an English and speech instructor, is Henry’s STAR teacher. “Mrs. Chisholm makes English exciting, and speech something that is fun,” he said.
After graduation, Henry wants to work full-time at a Christian camp. He plans to attend Bob Jones University, where his declared major is Bible, and “I will do a minor focus in graphic design,” he added.
